ABOUT THE AUTHOR

 Benny J Berry

I have spent over 25 years in government service including service with the United States Air Force as Procurement and Production Officer.  I was discharged from the Air Force as a Captain with only slightly over 3 years of active service.  My federal service includes positions as Cost Analyst, Negotiator, Contract Specialist, Contracting Officer, Contract Administrator, Management Analyst, and Supervisory Management Analyst. Procurement Analyst, Review Contract Specialist, and Chief Demonstration Plants.  My service with industry includes positions with Texas Instruments and Procter & Gamble.  During this time I received 28 commendations and promotion to a Senior Management position in Washington DC. .

My family life has been happy.  I have four children with three living in the Dallas Fort Worth area and one in the Washington DC area.  I have been blessed with eight grandchildren who give me much pleasure. I have taken them to Galveston for seven years as I went there when I was young and had so much fun there.

Studies with regard to random numbers and gambling games have been made over the last 35 years which has represented a challenge to the author.  Many computer simulations and actual gambling trips to Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and other cities with casinos have been made toward the goal of beating the games of craps, roulette, and baccarat.  One day in a technical library I ran across a book describing the phenomenon of the deviation of equipartition.  That is the fact that an even change game such as craps has decisions (pass or don't pass) which hardly ever come up even. Most of the time the decisions are not even and not even close to even.  Thus is born my idea that the actual deviation if it could be captured would make the punter/gambler a winner!  The formula I found said that the deviation from equipartition varied by the square root of the number of decisions involved. From this I created a system I call Flagship which takes advantage of this fact.  I have taken great care to explain this entire concept in the book I wrote entitled, "Gambling's Greatest Secrets Revealed."   I believe this to be as outstanding as when Edward Thorpe discovered by his computer simulations that blackjack could be beat by counting the played cards.  In this case a player can win  with flat bets; that is without raising bet amounts.
